Gov auctions can sometimes be hard to find. Many times they are not at local places and they are held far away from the main town in the state. Other times, they will be held right downtown in the city. It all depends on what is being auctioned off and how much value and publicity is surrounding the gov auction.

Gov auctions are a little bit different than local and county auctions. Gov auctions usually take place when the government seizes a piece of property from someone who owes back taxes, being sent to jail for life with no family left behind, or some other means where the property will never be returned to the person that originally owned it. The biggest deal on gov auctions is that they are usually very cheap because the people that they were taken from were taken from it unexpectedly so whatever is being auctioned off is in good shape.

Most gov auctions consist of homes that taxes and real estate taxes were not paid on. These gov auctions can sometimes can for extremely cheap prices. Other times, they can be through the roof if everybody is out there bidding on them. Most of the time with the gov auctions, everything in the house is auctioned off or everything in the house is included in one big auction for the entire package.

These are great deals because if everything in the house is included than all of the furniture, appliances, and everything that is needed for a home is already in them. They are also great deals if they are auctioned off separately because people needing just a couple of things such as a dishwasher or a stove can go and bid on these few items for cheap.

Gov auctions can take place at any time of the year just about anywhere in the United States. These auctions are usually listed in the local newspapers or on television. Many times, if there are many things that are being auctioned off, there will be some television advertisements for the auction. Gov auctions are also advertised on the road with little signs put up next to the sidewalk, especially if the auction is for a home or a few homes.

Gov auction listings can also be found online on most community and state websites with the time and date of the auction being listed. These are some of the best places to find them because they usually get e-mails for all of the auctions and may go into a little bit more detail about what is being auctioned off so that when everyone gets to the auctions they know what they are there to bid on. Many auctions do not tell people what is at the auction and they get there and it is a waste of time because there is not very many things being auctioned off.
